Murder Suspect Arrested Following Friday Night Stabbing

The suspect has been identified as Dexter Montrose of Fulton Street

A murder suspect was apprehended and arrested for stabbing and killing a 62-year-old man Friday night within the confines of the 81st Precinct in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

According to police reports, on Friday, December 16, at approximately 6:15pm, police responded to a call of a man stabbed at 1872 Fulton Street.

Upon arrival, police found the victim bleeding with a stab wound to his chest. The victim was taken to Interfaith Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Following a canvass of the area by police, the suspect was apprehended and arrested in front on Buffalo Avenuehas. He has been identified as Dexter Montrose of Fulton Street. He has been charged with 2nd degree murder.

Identification of the victim is pending proper family notification.
