Man Arrested on Gates Avenue Following Dispute, Shooting

81st Pct Police respond to two shooting incidents on Saturday

On Saturday, May 5, at approximately 8:07 a.m., a 28-year-old man was shot once in the left leg in front of 995 Gates Avenue. He was taken to Kings County Hospital and listed in stable condition. According to police reports, the victim said he had a dispute with an unidentified man, after which the unknown man pulled out a gun and fired at him striking him once in the left leg. The victim then flagged down the police and was taken to Kings County Hospital. An arrest has been made

On Saturday, May 5, at approximately 11:30 p.m., two men were shot during an attempted robbery on Jefferson Avenue. According to reports, a man described as a black, and wore a white or grey hooded sweat shirt, fired four shots at two victims during an attempted robbery in front of 765 Jefferson Avenue. Police responded to a 911 call at the scene and found one victim shot once in the right forearm and once in the upper left arm and the second victim was shot once in the right shoulder. Both victims were taken to Kings County Hospital and are in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
