FDNY Puts Out Dryer Fire On Throop Ave.

Blaze at laundromat called in earlier this evening.

Firefighters battled a dryer fire that briefly spread to an air duct at a Bed-Stuy laundry facility on Saturday evening.

The blaze was called in at 7:53 p.m. at , located at 442 Throop Ave. between Lexington and Greene avenues, according to fire officials.

Approximately 65 firefighters from four engine companies responded to the scene.

The fire was brought under control at 8:06 p.m., according to FDNY.

No injuries were reported.
