FDNY Investigating the Cause of an Early Morning Fire on Jefferson Ave

There were no reported injuries

Fire officials are investigating the cause of a blaze that broke out on Jefferson Avenue early Tuesday morning.

On Tuesday, March 5, at around 9:10 a.m., the fire department received a report of smoke and flames coming from the second floor of a two-story dwelling at 1048 Jefferson Avenue, near Broadway.

Twelve fire trucks from Bed-Stuy responded, and were able to extinguish the fire by 9:59 a.m.. All of the building’s tenants made it out safely, and there were no reported injuries. 

Fire investigators are still determining the cause of the fire.
