FDNY Investigating Mysterious Fire on Madison Street Tuesday Night

Fire officials are investigating a mysterious fire that broke out around 10:28 p.m. Tuesday at 684 Madison Street between Stuyvesant Ave and Malcolm X Blvd.

According to an FDNY spokesperson, 12 units and 60 firefighters were called to the scene of the fire, which originated on the second floor of a private dwelling. The fire was brought under control at around 11:00 p.m.

Reportedly four people were admitted to emergency care for smoke inhalation and one firefighter suffered first-degree burns to his knees.
