Fatal Thursday Morning Shooting on Jefferson Ave

Police are investigating. No arrests have been made.

A man identified as Robert Summers, 33, of West 24th Street in Manhattan was shot and killed early Thursday morning on Jefferson Avenue.

According to police, they were responded to a 911 call at 1:50 a.m. on July 5 of gunshots. When they arrived on the scene, they found Summers lying in front of 717 Jefferson Avenue, at the corner of Malcolm X Boulevard with one gunshot wound to the head.

He was transported to Kings County Hospital where he was announced dead. There are no arrests at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
