Thousands in Property Taken from Fifth Avenue Apartment

Crooks nabbed almost $5,000 worth of property from a Fifth Avenue apartment on July 29, including Apple products and camera equipment.

The 27-year-old man and 33-year-old man living in the apartment were away from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., they told police. During that time, someone took their iPad, $10 in cash, Macbook Pro and camera equipment, all worth $4,960. Neighbors either did not see anything or were not home during the break-in.

Wallet Nabbed from Baby Carriage

A 28-year-old woman told police on Aug. 2, she put her purse in her baby's carriage while waiting on line inside the Old Navy at the Atlantic Center, located at 625 Atlantic Ave. Between 6:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. she went to get her wallet from her purse, and the wallet was gone. Security personnel checked surveillance tapes and could not determine what happened, due to the camera angles. Inside the woman's wallet were $150 in cash, her credit card, debit card and Metro Card.
