Police are asking the public's help in tracking down a trio of gun-wielding robbers who have targeted Metro PCS stores, including three around Bed-Stuy and Prospect Heights.
The first robbery in the Prospect Heights area was August 28 at the cell phone store on Nostrand Avenue. One of the two men wanted walked in, pulled out a gun and ran off with an unkonw amount of cash.
The very next day, a female member of the trio did the exact same thing at the Metro PCS store on Wahsington Avenue.
Just over a week later, on September 6, the two men both stormed into the Metro PCS on Broadway in Bed-Stuy, flashed the weapon, grabbed the cash and fled.
In total, ten Metro PCS stores have been robbed by the group through Brooklyn and Queens, starting in Brownsville on July 29—with stick-ups in Far Rockaway and Astoria, Queens—and last struck in that neighborhood on September 7.
The male suspects are described as black men, both between 20 and 25 years old and standing between 6-feet and 6-foot-1.
The other suspect is described as a black woman between 18 and 23 years old, standing 5-foot-3 and weighing 110 pounds.
