Bed-Stuy Police Seeking Suspects in Burglary Spree

Teens stealing jewelry, laptops in local precinct.

Police in Bed-Stuy are asking for the public's help in locating two suspects wanted in a string of local burglaries.

According to investigators, two teens in the 79th Precinct in Bed-Stuy have carried out a string of burglaries since the end of September, breaking in to apartments through rear windows and stealing laptops, jewelry and more.

The first incident took place on Sept. 30, when the two suspects stole a handbag and a laptop from a Van Buren Street home. 

Three more similar incidents occurred on Oct. 4 and Oct. 7., almost all on Van Buren Street. 

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit tips at the Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
