Bed-Stuy Murder Suspect Shoots Self in Upstate NY Home

Eric McCormick arrested, taken to hospital after discovery by police.

After a week-long manhunt, police located Eric McCormick, the suspect wanted in connection with the murder of Bed-Stuy woman Sellis Gonzales late Thursday.

According to police, McCormick was found in a home in Sullivan County in update New York Thursday night. After refusing to give himself up to police, McCormick allegedly shot himself in the chest. 

McCormick was taken to an upstate hospital where he is listed in critical condition, police said.

He has been charged with second degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon. 

McCormick allegedly shot and killed Gonzales last week during an argument. She was found in her apartment by her two children.
