Nearly two months after the cold-blooded murder of Ivan Giovanettina, the victim’s shooters remain at-large, according to 79th Precinct police.
Giovanettina, 41, a Bed-Stuy resident and a native of Switzerland, was gunned down on January 10, at around 9:30 p.m. while walking towards his home near the corner of Throop Avenue and Macon Street.
Giovanettina was the former owner of Blu York Coffee and also a prop supervisor on the daytime talk show “The Chew.” Friends and colleagues, from New York to Switzerland, have continued to reach out to Bed-Stuy Patch to inquire about the case and whether the gunman have been identified.
Police are looking for two men captured on surveillance video just before the murder who they believe are the suspects. Although the video has been released to the public, no one has stepped forward yet.
NYPD is offering a $12,000 award to anyone with information leading to the capture, arrest and prosecution of the suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
