79th Pct Bulletin: Homicide
The victim is identified as Otis Scott, 35, of Avenue L in Brooklyn
On Thursday, May 5, 2011, at approximately 6:33 pm, police responded to a 911 call reporting a male shot at the front of 896 Park Avenue (Sumner Houses) within the confines of the 79 precinct.
Upon arrival at the scene, police discovered the victim, identified as Otis Scott, 35, of 100-22 Avenue L, Brooklyn, NY, was shot in the torso.
EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to Woodhull Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival (DOA). There are no arrests at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
