41 Injured in Bed-Stuy Bus Crash

MTA bus collides with car in Bed-Stuy, injuring dozens.

An MTA bus collided with another vehicle in Bed-Stuy Monday afternoon, sending more than three dozen people to area hospitals, fire officials said.

According to the FDNY, at 4:38 p.m. Monday a bus collided with another vehicle at Herkimer Street and Albany Avenue in Bed-Stuy. A total of 41 people have so far been listed as injured in the incident. 

Of the injuries, 19 were listed as minor, while 12 others are potentially serious. 

Fire officials said crews were still at the scene  after 6 p.m. working to clear the wreck and administer medical care. Injured commuters are being taken to St. John's Medical Center and Kings County Hospital.
