$400 Chain Stolen Off of Toddler's Neck
The teenage thieves followed the boy and his mother home from a laundromat at night
Two men stole a $400 gold Christening chain off the neck of a 3-year-old boy on Malcolm X Boulevard last Tuesday, says the New York Post.
The toddler was sitting in his stroller in the lobby of his family’s apartment building at 11:45 p.m., when two men snatched the chain, says the paper. The two thieves, believed to be 16 and 17, had followed the family home from a Laundromat, according to the article.
“I was screaming ‘Let go of my baby! Let go of my baby!’” mother Riyana Guerrero told the Post. “I just started screaming and fighting with him, trying to get him away from my baby.”

According to the article, the chain was a gift from Harvey’s godparents for his baptism.
“I didn’t care about the gold; I was just worried about my [kids],” Guerrero told the paper. “It was horrible. I don’t feel safe going out into the street now.”
