11 People Injured in Bed-Stuy Fire

Four residents critically hurt in early-morning blaze.

Eleven people were injured, four critically, when a fire broke out in a Chauncey Avenue home in Bed-Stuy Thursday morning.

According to the fire department, the call came in for a two-alarm blaze at shortly after 9 a.m. 

25 units responded to the scene, with more than 100 firefighters active in the area. 

Fire swept quickly through two floors of the three-story building, trapping a handful of residents inside.

Four people were critically injured and were taken to Brooklyn hospitals along with seven others whose injuries varied in severity.
