Women: Walk for Your Health this April

Central Brooklyn Wellness invites 100+ women to join GirlTrek's 2012 Walking Challenge this April

This April, you're invited to walk for the most important cause of your life: Your Health.

The 2012 GirlTrek Walking Challenge is a nationwide campaign to promote health and physical activity by walking.

It has been shown that even a brisk, thirty-minute walk can improve the overall quality of on1e's health, even if there's no weight loss.

Our communities are facing a health crisis!

Simply put we are dying faster and at higher rates. ...diabetes, heart disease and stroke.

So we were thinking,...what would Harriet Tubman do?

She would walk it out!

Freedom seekers, like Mrs. Tubman, walked as many as 25 miles each night.

So grab your sneakers ladies!!!

...and forward this invitation to 7 powerful Black women or girls.

(Please don't front, we need your help to start a real health movement.)

We are challenging you! Walk with us....for 10 weeks straight! That's it! Easy.

You in? Get started. Sign up publicly...lend your name to this important cause.

Together, we will launch a national walking campaign in Black communities everywhere!

With your help, we can do it.

That's it.

That's how a movement is started!

In the legendary words of Martin - Lawrence, not King - let's "get ta steppin!".

Mark your calendars!

April 1st is our start date!

Tell your girlfriends, daughters and mamas. Post this email at the beauty shop, in your church bulletin board, or in your sorority house. We are depending on sistas like you. Tweet it. Holler it. Act now!

We only have a few weeks to get 5000 women signed up. That's our goal.

Central Brooklyn Wellness would love to get 100 women signed up.

Can we make this happen?
