Featured Job Posting: Afterschool Youth Coordinator

IMANI HOUSE, Inc. Brooklyn seeks an experienced youth coordinator for its after-school program at PS/MS282 in Park Slope, Brooklyn.

Do you have at least two to three years experience in a Youth Coordination leadership position?

Are you friendly and energetic and have experience working with inner-city youth?

Are you available for a full time position, coordinating a youth program for 150 children ages 4 - 12?

Are you detail oriented with good administrative skills?

If so, please consider applying for the IMANI HOUSE upcoming Youth Program Coordination Position. The IMANI HOUSE After-School program engages youth in Performing Arts, Athletics, Academic Support, Community Service and Leadership. Our program began in 1999.

Each year Imani House provides services to at least 150 children and their parents, helping children reach their fullest potential and parents attend to their needs and those of their children.

Qualifications:

•  Hold at least a four year degree with some course background in education and youth development - former educators are welcome
•  Have at least 3 years experience in a leadership or coordination position within a youth development program
•  Experience working in a management position preferably in youth development
•  Possess advanced leadership and mediation skills
•  Have SACC required training and certification - A Plus
•  CPR and First Aid Certified - A Plus
•  Able to pass background checks - Fingerprinting and Child Abuse Clearances
•  Experience managing curriculum in an OST grantee program - A plus
