Rock Out With Your Original Team

Do you remember when you started expressing your passion or your big dreams for the future with your friends? It may have been passing phase but there were some friends who expressed a total buy-in and promised to be with you every step of the way.

What about your adult life, who are the folks who supported your dreams from the very beginning? They were present when you poured life and all of your resources into your dreams. They may have helped you clean up and paint that brick and mortar building or they edited your slides in your deck presentation. They may have treated you to every meal knowing that you would otherwise go hungry funding your dream.    

Are they still around?  Do you still ‘rock’ with them?

Maybe you have evolved into a major entity that folks stand on line meet or your brick and mortar business was bought and you have moved on to bigger and brighter prospects. That deck that was edited is now and industry staple and you've surpassed that idea and evolved a great entity.

When the accolades come in and you stand on the podium to give you speech, do you look back? Are those supporters still in your purview? Not the ones who hung out with you - I'm asking about the ones who lost sleep with you and sponsored you when your resources dried up.

If they are not around, look for them and celebrate them. It may reconcile a part of your karmic debt, you know, the gratitude account.  In some cases you may have to impart forgiveness to someone who helped you, but later did something not so nice. Let it go so that you can make room for the ‘more’ that is to come.
