Intend To Forgive

1. The act of forgiving or the state of being forgiven; pardon.
2. Willingness to forgive.

This week’s intention is 'forgiveness'.

Some people find themselves walking around with harboring some fugitives called anger, hurt, humiliation and disgust. I am sure that you can name many more fugitives but you get my point.

These fugitives never leave home without their buddies: ulcers, headaches, heartaches and sometimes depression. This week, we are going to evict them and occupy that space with better things.

Forgive others for the disappointments and hurt that they have caused you. Forgive them for the fugitives that they sent to occupy your sacred space.

Forgive yourself for the anger and pain that you have holed up in your sacred space because you cannot get over or let go of something.

It is in forgiveness that breakthrough comes around and with its best friend called blessings. Forgiveness clears away the clutter in our lives.

You don't have to list the OTHERS who have wronged you - start with YOURSELF.

  • Pardon yourself for holding grudges.
  • Pardon yourself for speaking and thinking ill of others
  • Pardon yourself for not trusting
  • Pardon yourself for ____________

When you've done this, let it go. That's usually where we fall victim of being held captive by our issues. When you let it go, pray for new occupants: Faith, Grace and those great things that bring smiles to our lives.
