Vodou Bar Readies to Spread Love

As the the summer season wraps, Vodou Bar wants to put a pretty bow on it with a block party to celebrate its one-year anniversary and also salute the residents who have made the lounge a huge success.

On Saturday, September 8, from 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Vodou Bar will close off Halsey Street between Nostrand and Marcy avenues to host an all-ages block party.

There will be vendors, children's activities, food, music performances and Vodou will give away two tickets to the first game at Barclay Center (Knicks versus Nets).

WHAT ELSE: Performers include Meridian, Meleni Smith, The Sunday Belts, Peter Hadar and more. Live DJ sets by J. Period, DJ Reborn, DJ Geko Jones and DJ Trauma.
