Registration for Cultural Arts & Rites of Passage Programs

Ifetayo (e-fay-tie-yo) Cultural Arts Academy continues to offer enriching
arts and cultural programming for youth ages 2-21.

(Flatbush Ave. line) to Newkirk Ave. Walk across Newkirk (approx. 10 min.) and
turn right on East 35th. Street. Walk one block to Victor Rd. Our entrance is
on Victor Rd.

of Passage Programs (SIS, IAMB & FEI) - Serving ages 8-21


Sisters in Sisterhood (SIS) - (8-21 years old)

I am My Brother (IAMB) -Teen (18-21 years old)

Financial Education Institute (FEI) (FEI is only open to Rites participants)



Marcus Garvey Cultural
Heritage Program (MGCHP)
- Serving ages 6-18 & Adults

Free Cultural History classes for youth

International cultural studies trips abroad to Africa, Brazil & the
Caribbean

Annual Scholar Presentation



 



TUITION - BASED PROGRAMS -The CAP program
charges a low tuition fee. The rates apply based on the number of classes you
are attending and the number of children enrolling from one household.



Cultural Arts Program (CAP)
- Serving ages 2-21


Dance: African, Modern, Ballet, Hip
Hop

Traditional Instruments: African
Drumming (Djembe, Kutiro, and Sabar) & Conga

Contemporary Instruments: Guitar,
Trap Drumming, & Voice

Drama: Acting & Toddler Creative
Poetry Expressions

Visual Arts: Costume/Fashion Design,
Painting, Sketching & Drawing, Jewelry (Beading) & Sculpture

Martial Arts: Capoiera (Brazilian
Martial Art), Tae Kwon Do

Health & Well Being: Pilates,
Yoga, Stretch & Tone Movement, Self Defense for Women





Classes begin October 5, 2013 and are offered all day on Saturdays and run to June
2014. 
They range
from beginner to pre-professional level.  Classes are held at St. Marks Day School, 1346
President Street, Brooklyn New York.
