Join us in celebrating the winter solstice and in supporting a sustainable economy at the Hattie Carthan Homesteaders Market - Winter Solstice Celebration on December 21st starting at 1pm. This community based market is not just profit, but the creation of community and celebration of people and place. Women artisans will be selling homemade natural products, books, CDs, percussion instruments, herbal wares, teas, bath salts, sugar scrubs & body oils, clay art, paintings, leather jewelry & accessories, lock jewelry & ties, shamanic tools, Mexican hot chocolates and more. We will have live music and open mic performances. The solstice ceremony begins at 6pm and culminates in a winter solstice high vibrational feast! The event takes place at the Hattie Carthan Herban Farm, 49 Van Buren St in Bed-stuy Brooklyn.
