Haiti Cultural Exchange is pleased to launch a new workshop series for adults! Join us for the first workshop of the Creativity Unleashed series.
February 8 | Bookbinding with Rejin Leys
Participants will learn to make several types of personalized books in various styles including pamphlets, accordions and diamond books. Create the perfect journal, sketchbook or scrapbook! Teaching artist Rejin Leys will demonstrate different techniques for creating art in your handmade books and present examples of books made by other artists.Delve into an exploration of Haitian culture and unleash your creativity.

Courses recommended for ages 17+ unless otherwise noted. Workshops require a minimum of 10 participants.

Workshop Fee: $30.00 (includes workshop materials).
About Creativity Unleashed
Creativity Unleashed will offer individuals hands-on workshops led by Haitian and Haitian-American artists. Using both traditional and artist-developed techniques, participants will create original works and gain first-hand knowledge from artists about their craft. Workshops will range from traditional interpretations of Haitian art such as exploring the vèvè and sequin art to poetry & performance.
