Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation (Restoration) holds a book signing with David N. Dinkins, the 106th Mayor of New York City, in honor of the release of his memoirs, A Mayor’s Life: Governing New York’s Gorgeous Mosaic. The book chronicles Dinkins’s journey in life and through local New York City politics as an assemblyman, city clerk, Manhattan borough president and as the 106th, first and only, African-American mayor of New York City. The book signing will take place on February 1 at 2:30 pm at Restoration's Skylight Art Gallery, 1368 Fulton Street, 3rd Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11216.

The event will include a conversation between between Mayor Dinkins and his former Chief of Staff John Flateau, followed by a moderated question and answer session and book signings. Barnes & Noble will be on site to sell the book. The Bed Stuy native, John Flateau, is currently Professor of Public Administration at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn, NY.
