It's my birth date
Some birth dates are anticipated, some feared, some revered, some celebrated and some just are simply forgotten. This morning as I awake giving thanks to the Creator for another year of life, I began to rethink this whole birth business. What is it really about, what should it be about and what it means to me.So I know you are probably saying alright already what have you come up with. So yesterday as I was speaking to my Mother she began to tell me my birth story, Who better than my Mother to tell me the story. Although I have heard it many times each time its like its brand new, a thought came "wait" I proclaimed I am going to get you on recording this time I tell her.
Today I share with you the story of my birth from my Mothers mouth...Enjoy
After I heard this story it got me to thinking even more. The day I entered the earth on this physical plane I was given the gift of life and on my day of birth the first thing I did was to share it with my parents, family and friends. Ok, so I was a baby and the Creator is who gave me to them but still the first action is one of giving. So in the natural process of thought I ask myself am I to expect many gifts and presents because I was born or am I to give many gift and presents to others because I was born. Is the expressions of thanks and gratitude for my life sufficient for me? When others say thanks to the Creator for my life is that a testimony that I am on the road to doing what I came here to do. Prayerfully my beginning will be my end.
Side note, self talk will ask "WAIT A MINUTE!!" that all sounds good but its MY birthday so where do I come in. Its my party and I cry if I want to, I wanna party like its my birthday cause its all about me. But is it really and is this the remembrance of birthdays that we are to carry out?
After listening to my Mother speak it gave me more understanding about my birth story. It helps me to understand more about why I am the way I am. It propels me to seek out more about my purpose. Remember if we go with the premise that I was a gift to others then it is also important to remember every gift has a thought, a purpose and a time to be given. Time, Reason & Season. This birth date reminds me of why I was hired to come into the Earth and what I should be doing here in this limited space and time.
In the spirit of sharing, do you know your birth story? Have you discovered your own time, reason and season? If you still have the opportunity to speak with your living parents take the time out of your busy life and listen to them recount your birth story. Ask them, you may be surprise to learn what you may not have known. Journal or record your findings as it can be a great asset to understanding your life's journey.
