Wine and Chocolate, a Sexy Way to Excite Your Palate!

Therapy Wine Bar to hold wine and chocolate pairing event next Wednesday

On Wednesday, February 8, at 7:00 p.m., , located at 364 Lewis Avenue, will invite Bed-Stuy residents inside its doors to indulge in a little food porn with its annual Wine and Chocolate Pairing event.

The reservation-only event is a Valentine’s Day tradition for the wine bar, and there are still 11 seats left. For $20, 15 patrons are invited to sample Therapy’s own selection of three semi-sweet red wines – a sparkling, a Lambrusco and a Cabernet – attended with Therapy’s selection of fine dark chocolate.

According to the bar’s co-owner, Angela Terry, the tasting is an opportunity for people who really may not know a whole lot about red wines to grow an appreciation for the art of wine pairing.

“It’s a fun way to sample the different flavors of wine, and really see how the taste of both the food and wine changes depending upon the combination,” Terry said. “I’m a dessert-lover. So this is when you’re looking for something sweet, but not too sweet.”

“Most people associate wine with cheese, which is great. But this is more romantic. It excites your palate and makes you more eager to experiment with pairing. And this is a sexy pairing!”
