Weiner Heckled at Brooklyn Pride Parade

Catcalls ring out as mayoral candidate marches in Park Slope

By  Matthew Hampton

A lifetime with his surname has certainly prepared mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner for his share of heckling — and he got it by the barrel at Brooklyn's Pride-Week Parade in Park Slope over the weekend, according to the New York Post.

The paper wrote Sunday that Weiner — who has been all over town since announcing his run for mayor last month — was aggressively jeered by the crowd in Park Slope while marching with other candidates.

The most creative of the jibes from the crowd — that the paper was willing to publish, at least — was "send me a text!"

Other catcalls were somewhat more predictable.

The paper also wrote that a chorus of supporters in the neighborhood were also out cheering for Weiner, but that's not nearly as interesting, is it?

Weiner is scheduled to appear at mayoral candidates forum on Sandy recovery later this week in Queens.
