The New York City Police Department today announced street closures and anticipated traffic delays for the weekend March 10 - 11, 2012. Drivers should expect delays in the following areas:

FULL CLOSURE - WILLIS AVENUE BRIDGE
The New York City Department of Transportation will implement a full early morning closure of the Willis Ave Bridge to facilitate electrical system testing of the swing span. Full bridge closures will be conducted from 1:00 - 5:30pm, Tuesday thru Friday, and 2:00pm - 6:00pm on Saturdays thru March 10

During these closures motorists will be detoured to the Madison Ave Bridge @ East 138th St.
Northbound FDR motorists will continue on the FDR Drive to the East 135th St exit, proceed to Madison Ave and then onto the Madison Ave Bridge.
1st Ave motorists will take East 125th Street west to Madison Ave, turn north and proceed to the bridge.
Signage and Traffic Control Agents will assist motorists during these closures.

122nd Streets between Riverside Drive and Claremont Avenue
The above streets will be closed for this event

THROGSNECK BENEVOLENT ORG. ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE
Bronx: 1100am - 2:00pm
Formation: Lafayette Avenue between Calhoun Avenue and East Tremont Avenue
Route: East Tremont Avenue between Lafayette Avenue and Harding Avenue
Harding Avenue between East Tremont Avenue and Buttrick Avenue
Dispersal: Included within route. The above streets will be closed for this event
