Saturday, October 8, was the kick-off of the 7th Annual Bed-Stuy Alive! Festival, showcasing music performances, local merchants, restaurants and community organizations across Bedford-Stuyvesant.
Residents from all over New York City participated in what was, without question, its biggest celebration to date.
The 5th Annual Restoration Rocks Concert featured some of Brooklyn's greatest local talent, including Mos Def, the Brooklyn Philharmonic Orchestra, Pharoahe Monch, Homeboy Sandman, Joel Ortiz and Farrah Burns, amongst many others.
