This week, Bed-Stuy residents will begin to see postcards displayed in stores around the western and central parts of the neighborhood detailing the Merchant Quad.
The is a collection of 34 bars, lounges, restaurants and wine shops that will serve as a commercial destination for residents and visitors seeking a starting point for food and entertainment. The newly developed concept by is to spark new business development in the neighborhood, while also encouraging residents to shop local.
The online version of the map, which will debut this summer, will give its users the opportunity to add their own “yellow pins,” weigh in and make suggestions of the types of businesses they’d like to see open in the Quad and where.
