Rent-by-Phone

All NYCHA residents can now phone in their rent payments, toll-free.

The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) announces a new rent payment option: Pay-Rent-by-Phone.

Now NYCHA residents can safely and securely phone in their rent payments through an electronic transfer from a checking account or using a credit or debit card.

Residents will need their 9-digit bank routing number, located on the bottom left side of the check, as well as their 9-digit NYCHA tenant ID number and zip code. The numbers are printed on the back of the NYCHA remittance slip or bank acceptance slip.

There is a $1.00 processing fee for eCheck and a convenience fee for Visa or MasterCard Debit Cards. The fee is charged by our third party vendor and no portion of that fee is paid to NYCHA. All information remains confidential and is protected by all access and confidentiality provisions of federal, state and City of New York laws.

Just dial 1-866-942-3104 toll free and follow the voice prompts. Phone payments made before 6:00 pm EST will be credited to rent accounts the same day; payments after 6:00 are credited the next day.
