The New York City Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying and locating the following suspect who is wanted in connection with a rape that occurred on Monday in Bedford Stuyvesant.
According to police reports, an 18-year-old female was walking down Monroe Street at approximately 12:40 a.m. when she was approached from behind by an unknown suspect who displayed a hammer, threatened to hit her and demanded oral sex.
The suspect then forced the victim into a back alley where he raped her and then fled the scene. The victim admitted herself Woodhull Hospital, and is recovering.
The suspect is described as the following: A black male, approximately 20-22 years old, 5'8, approximately 150lbs, light complexion. He was last seen wearing a black rich young cap, a hoodie, dark jeans, dark jean jacket, red white and black sneakers, North Face black backpack and black framed glasses (a sketch of the suspect is attached).
