The 7th Annual Tour de Brooklyn came through Bed-Stuy today

More than one thousand bikers who participated in the 7th annual Tour de Brooklyn came through Bed-Stuy today. The NYPD escorted the 18-mile family-friendly bike tour as a rolling parade, beginning at 9:00am.

Riders of all ages participated and enjoyed a brief stop at Canarsie Pier, where they rested, snacked and refilled their water bottles.

Cars who were forced to stop and sit at the light through several cycles honked, annoyed at the riders. The riders waved back and smiled in response.
