Photos: Remember the Blizzard A Year Ago?

It's cloudy and fairly warm in Bed-Stuy today, but this time last year, the city was buried in snow.

Brooklyn residents may have been dreaming of a white Christmas, but this holiday season seems to have quite a bit more sunshine than snowflakes. 

While you might be a bit chilly when you step outside, temperatures in the forties seem like summer compared to a year ago.

Exactly one year ago, today, New Yorkers emerged from their homes to be greeted by two feet of snow, piled on every parked car, store awning, and walkway, plus anything else they may have left outside.

Temperatures were in the low 20's, and the additional 40-50 mph winds made it almost unbearable to go outside. Travel plans were delayed, roads were closed, and the subway and bus system literally came to a halt.

Here are some photos taken on December 27th, 2010, reminding us all that maybe the weather really isn't that bad today.
