MTA Alert: Winter Storm Advisory, Planned Service Changes

Customers are strongly advised to begin the trip home early today, as service later in the evening may be curtailed

MTA ALERT: With weather forecasts calling for significant snowfall beginning Friday evening, all planned subway service changes this weekend are canceled.

Customers are strongly advised where possible to avoid traveling today, and if traveling is a necessity, to begin the trip home or to their final destination early as service later in the evening may be curtailed.

MTA urges customers to monitor news reports and the MTA website as service is subject to change as conditions demand.

Visit the MTA Weather Emergency page regularly for information that will keep residents abreast of storm conditions and its impact on MTA services.

Finally, bad weather or not, MTA is urging all customers to take extra care when traveling:
• Stand back from subway platform edges
• Always use handrails
• Walk carefully when entering or exiting stations, and boarding or leaving trains and buses
• Please allow extra travel time.

Chris Rock said it best, African Americans are shown more 'love' for doing a 'bid' and getting outRead More of prison than to graduate school with a degree. When this 'hood mentality' starts to change, then you will see more than a trickle of AA passing advanced math courses.
