MTA Alert: Weekend Planned Service Changes

Changes this weekend to the A, C, G and J lines

Bed-Stuy residents, if you plan on taking the subway this weekend, check out the following important service changes on MTA lines that run through the neighborhood. Read carefully to make sure you are prepared!

A Train*

All times until further notice, there are no A trains between Howard Beach-JFK Airport and the Rockaways.

  • H shuttle trains and free shuttle buses provide alternate service.
  • A trains operate between 207 St and Lefferts Blvd/Howard Beach.
  • Free shuttle buses operate nonstop between Howard Beach and Far Rockaway-Mott Av.
  • Free H shuttle trains operate between Far Rockaway-Mott Av and Beach 90 St.

Hours of Operation:
From Far Rockaway-Mott Av to Beach 90 St: 4 AM - 12 midnight.
From Beach 90 St to Far Rockaway-Mott Av: 4:30 AM - 12:30 AM.

From 11:45 PM to 6:30 AM, Fri to Sun, Mar 29 - 31, and from 11:45 PM Sun to 5 AM Mon, Mar 31 - Apr 1, downtown A trains run express from 145 St to Canal St.

C Train*

From 6:30 AM to 11 PM, Sat and Sun, Mar 30 - 31, downtown C trains run express from 145 St to Canal St.

G Train

The Station re-opens week of April 22, 2013. G trains skip Smith-9 Sts in both directions. Use bus service to/from 4 Av-9 St or Carroll St instead.

M Train*

From 5:30 AM Sat to 10 PM Sun, Mar 30 – 31, no J trains between Broadway Junction and Jamaica Center. Free shuttle buses and E trains provide alternate service via Jamaica-Van Wyck.
