MTA Alert: Weekday Planned Service Changes

If you're a subway commuter, check out these changes for the A, J and M subway lines that run through Bed-Stuy

The A Train*
All times until further notice, no A trains between Howard Beach-JFK Airport and the Rockaways.

  • H shuttle trains and free shuttle buses provide alternate service.
  • A trains operate between 207 St and Lefferts Blvd/Howard Beach.
  • Free shuttle buses operate nonstop between Howard Beach and Far Rockaway-Mott Av.
  • Free H shuttle trains operate between Far Rockaway-Mott Av and Beach 90 St.
Hours of Operation:
From Far Rockaway-Mott Av to Beach 90 St: 4 AM - 12 midnight.
From Beach 90 St to Far Rockaway-Mott Av: 4:30 AM - 12:30 AM.

NIGHTS
11:15 PM to 5 AM, Mon to Fri, May 13 - 17, Manhattan-bound A trains run express from Euclid Av to Broadway Junction.

12:01 AM to 5 AM, Tue to Fri, May 14 - 17, A service operates in two sections:
1. Between Howard Beach-JFK Airport and 168 St
2. Between 168 St and 207 St, every 30 minutes.
• To continue your trip, transfer at 168 St.

11:45 PM to 5 AM, Tue to Fri, May 14 - 17
Queens-bound A trains run express from 59 St-Columbus Circle to Canal St.

The J Train
9:45 AM to 3 PM, Wed to Fri, May 15 - 17, Jamaica Center-bound J trains skip Kosciuszko St, Gates Av, Halsey St, and Chauncey St.

The M Train*
All times until August 2013, M trains skip Central Av in both directions.
• Use the Knickerbocker Av M, Myrtle Av J, M, and Z or Kosciuszko St J station.
• Use the B54 bus for connections between Central Av and Knickerbocker Av, where M service is available, Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs, where L and M service is available, or Myrtle Av, where J, M, and Z service is available. (Z service operates weekday rush hours only.)

10 PM to 12 midnight, Mon to Thu, May 13 - 16, there is no M service between 47-50 Sts and 71 Av.
• M Service operates between Metropolitan Av and 47-50 Sts, and via the F to/from 57 St.
• E trains provide alternate service at 5 Av/53 St, Lexington Av/53 St and Court Sq-23 St.


*This service change affects one or more ADA accessible stations. Please call 511 for help with planning your trip.
