MTA Alert: Planned Service Changes for the A, C, G and J Trains

Bed-Stuy residents, if you plan on taking the subway this weekend, check out the following service changes on MTA lines that run through the neighborhood:

The A Line

Until June 2011:
Manhattan-bound A trains skip Beach 36 St and Beach 60 St.

Weekend
12:01 AM Sat to 5 AM Mon, Apr 9 – 11
Downtown A trains skip 50 St, 23 St and Spring St.

Nights
12:01 AM to 5 AM, Tue to Fri, Apr 12 – 15
Downtown A trains run express from 59 St to Canal St.

The C Line

Weekend
6:30 AM to midnight, Sat and Sun, Apr 9 – 10
Downtown C trains skip 50 St, 23 St and Spring St

The G Line

Until May 2011:
Queens-bound G trains skip Fort Hamilton Pkwy and 15 St-Prospect Park.

Nights
11 PM to 5 AM, Mon to Fri, Apr 11 – 15
G service operates in two sections:
1. Between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues, every 30 minutes.
2. Between Bedford-Nostrand Avs and Church Avenue, every 15 minutes.
To continue your trip, transfer at Bedford-Nostrand Avenues

The J Line

Weekend
3:30 AM Sat to 10 PM Sun, Apr 9 – 10
J service is suspended between Jamaica Center and Crescent St.
For service between:
Jamaica Center and Jamaica-Van Wyck — Take the E instead.
Jamaica-Van Wyck and Crescent St — Use free shuttle buses instead.
