Micro-Grant Deadline Approaching for Green Projects in Bed-Stuy

Brooklyn Community Foundation provides much-needed funding for neighborhood green projects

Is your organization helping to make Bed-Stuy greener? Does your organization have a great idea for making Bed-Stuy greener? If so, then your organization may be eligible to apply for a micro-grant.

Brooklyn Community Foundation’s Micro Grants program provides $500 grants to volunteer-run Brooklyn organizations with annual organizational budgets smaller than $50,000.

Beyond providing some much-needed funding for grassroots projects, many of these small grants have seeded some of today’s most creative and impactful local nonprofits, including the New York Writers Coalition, Girls for Gender Equity and countless others.

To celebrate spring and help further our efforts to make Brooklyn even more beautiful, BCF announces two new exciting matching  initiatives through its Micro-Grants Program and Green Communities Fund:

Thanks to two partners and programs ioby and Green Guerillas, The Brooklyn Community Foundation will help put a total of at least $20,000 to support local activities through our match funding this spring.
