This Saturday: Mayoral Roundtable Briefing in Bed-Stuy

An opportunity for parents and leaders to influence the policies and practices impacting the education of the children and youth of Central Brooklyn

Last fall, the Adelaide L. Sanford Institute (ASI) began holding community round table discussions in Central Brooklyn to provide community leaders (clergy, business, community based organizations, elected officials and parent leaders) with a forum to build awareness of the new Common Core State Standards in New York City public schools, as well as strategies for leveraging community support around making the new standards work for parents and teacher

The next roundtable briefing will be held in Bed-Stuy this Saturday, June 8, at 9:00 a.m. It will bring together several of the 2013 mayoral candidates to hear community leaders and parents share their concerns regarding the education of their children.
