Lights Off

Though our lives have become quite technical, there are those days we just want to turn it all off

This is the age of social media and reality television.

Most of us have nothing else to watch except for reality shows and we read more blogs than ever before.

Though our lives have become quite technical, there are those days we just want to turn it all off for a few hours to let our personal reality take flight.

The art of "turning it off" will add to your peace of mind, because the focus is on self. Putting your stuff in perspective and working on the new ideas that will improve your quality of life adds years to your life span. (Ok, that’s my idea).

I make that statement because most people find that doing what they love brings laughter, collaboration, patience (at time) and self appreciation.
So, take some time to turn it all off.

Turn off the television
Turn off the radio
Turn off your mobile phone (try).

You never know what may come of it.

But, know that you will rest well and awake the next with a spring in your step, and it’s because you turned it off for a while.

Chris Rock said it best, African Americans are shown more 'love' for doing a 'bid' and getting outRead More of prison than to graduate school with a degree. When this 'hood mentality' starts to change, then you will see more than a trickle of AA passing advanced math courses.
