"Practice Makes Perfect" is a free summer program for 5th-graders in Bed-Stuy! Registration closing soon.

Do you have a son or daughter entering the fifth grade in the fall?

Have you signed them up for a summer program yet?

Well, Practice Makes Perfect, is a free summer program for students entering the 5th grade -- new in Bedford-Stuyvesant -- and they are looking to fill more seats in their program ASAP.

The program's final registration date is today (Friday), July 6, at (1110 Bedford Avenue). However, they have space for more, and they would like to fill it, so they are extending their registration until all of their seats are filled.

"Practice Makes Perfect is a summer program set out to to help prepare students entering the 5th grade," said Edwin Huerta, the program's coordinator. "Students will be taught by high achieving high school students and college stuents, who will help them along the way as mentors."

Students also will be able to increase their confidence and appreciation for learning all in an encouraging environment, Huerta said. Lunch will be provided everyday!
