When life gets overwhelming, some people like to visit a spa or go on retreats in order to regroup and gather their thoughts. They usually call it "me time" and totally indulge in rejuvenating themselves.

If you are constantly traveling for work or busy a family to take care of, spa days and retreats are few and far between or maybe not even an option. This is when you have to be creative with techniques on freeing up your time.

You can do this in the bath, while sitting at the hair dresser/barber, waiting on the train or even ten minutes before retiring for the day. At this time, you can revisit the original template and review the plan of execution to see if and when you went off the original path.

Ask yourself the following four questions:

•    What happened that caused me to go off track? Was it a life issue or self sabotage?

•    When did I go off track? The timeline from start to reroute should give indicate the stage you were in when you went off course.

•    How long have I been off course?

•    What are my next steps?

Once you are able to answer these questions, getting back on track should not be difficult, because you have definitive answers to work with.

The trick is to pick up where you left off before you went off course. If going off course is a result of a life-changing event, picking up where you left up may be hard.

This is the perfect time to refocus and tweak the plan or maybe even abandon the plan. Yes, I said abandon it, and that is because there are times when we are to be observers of the plan and not executors.

Get ready for the rebirth of you.
