A new Green Cart fruit stand has set up on the corner of Nostrand Avenue and Kosciuszko Street, selling fresh produce.
The cart is open for business from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. It has available fresh grapes, plums, avocado, bananas, peaches, cherries, blueberries-- pretty much every type of fruit you desire.
The cart's owner said he is starting his second week at the location, and so far, he is a little disappointed.
"I've been here since 8:00 this morning. It's 12:00, and I've only made $25," he complained. "They only want beer and chips and cigarettes."
I told him to give it some time to let people get familiar with his cart, since he's only been open a week. No sooner had I said that than we were interrupted by the arrival of three new customers.
"Wow, when did this get here?" asked one customer. "Can I get a carton of blueberries? And two peaches?"
"How much are your cherries?" asked another.
