WHY GO: forFATHERS will be celebrating the release of 4Fathers Photo Journal Issue 2. Curated by Marlon Cole. Music by Fei of the Ahficionados. forFATHERS project celebrates the importance of fatherhood through photography, film, and other artistic mediums.  This project attracts a demographic of active fathers, young professionals, stay at home dads and men looking for parenting information. WHY GO: Since his explosive arrival on the international scene vocalist Jose James has consistently dazzled critics and audiences alike with his smooth combination of soul, hip-hop and jazz. Blessed with a warm, rich baritone reminiscent of Terry Callier, Jon Lucien and Gil-Scott Heron, Jose has toured internationally at venues such as Umbria, Nice, and North Sea Jazz Festivals, Billboard Live In Tokyo, Ancienne Belgique, Centro Cultural Sao Paolo, the Hermitage St. Petersburg, Central Park Summerstage and London's Royal Festival Hall.

WHAT: 2011 BROOKLYN FILM FESTIVAL

WHEN/WHERE: Friday, June 3- Sunday, 12 at indieScreen and Brooklyn Heights Cinema.

WHY GO: More than 100 independent films by local and international filmmakers will be featured. The Brooklyn Film Festival (BFF), is an International, competitive festival. BFF mission is to provide a public forum in Brooklyn in order to advance public interest in films and the independent production of films. To draw worldwide attention to Brooklyn as a center for cinema. To encourage the rights of all Brooklyn residents to access and experience the power of independent filmmaking, and to promote artistic excellence and the creative freedom of artists without censure. BFF, inc. is a not-for-profit organization.

COST: Single program tickets are $10 for the general public and $8 for students, senior citizens. Full Festival Passes are $200. 4 Pack Passes are available for $25. After the film schedule is announced in May 2011, visit the FESTIVAL BOX OFFICE for detail or to purchase tickets.
