WHEN/WHERE: Saturday, September 17, 10:00am – 6:00pm, On the sidewalks of Lewis Avenue, between Decatur and Hancock Streets
WHY GO: Join the Shops of Lewis Avenue, along with other Bed-Stuy merchants for an annual showcase of local businesses in Bed-Stuy. This year’s soiree will include an array of retailers and home-based businesses. Start and finish your day on Lewis Avenue with fun for the entire family. Activities include a pop-up roller skating rink (hosted by Bed-Stuy YMCA), ice cream musical chairs (hosted by Tin City), Spelling Bee and story time (by Brownstone Books Literary Camps); a Wine Ice Cream Social and Tea Shirt Party (host by Therapy Wine Bar); and local DJ’s and live music sponsored by the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.

WHY GO: MANJINGA, the hottest afro-beat and hip hop party in NYC has found a new home: Nova Bar. But no worries, it’s the same great vibe, with more to love. There will be vendors, films and live performances and the great music Manjinga party goers have come to know and love played by Manjinga’s resident DJs: DJ Revolution and DJ Troy O.
