WHAT: Simplicity Wine Bar and Lounge Grand Opening

WHY GO: They’ve been open almost two months now. But they’re ready to put their best foot forward with a classy coming-out party that is sure to have you coming back for more. WHAT: The Bed-Stuy Youth Police Academy Reunion

WHEN/WHERE: Saturday, March 2, 12:00 p.m., Boys & Girls High School, 1700 Fulton Street, Bklyn, NY

WHY GO: For the past fifteen years, the Community Affairs Bureau has hosted a number of Summer Youth Police Academies throughout the city where young adults are taught how to avoid the dangers of gangs, crime, while at the same time experience positive interactions with police officers. You are cordially invited to attend their official YPA Reunion in Bed-Stuy. Activities include games and activities for the children, raffle prizes and light refreshment.

WHAT: Hip Dhamma Yoga at Freebrook

WHEN/WHERE: Saturday, March 2, 2013, 10:00 a.m., Freebrook Academy, 375 Stuyvesant Ave, Bklyn, NY

WHY GO: Open-level yoga class for all.  A great intro to the Hip Dhamma Yoga style.  Classes are heated in winter.
