Dwelling on what people say can cause you to lose sight of the things that truly matter in your life

Super Soul Sunday is one of my favorite shows on television right now.

I tune in every Sunday on the OWN Channel to see who will be showcasing their inspiration and what the advice will be.

This week, I was able to take in a conversation that Oprah had with Deepak Chopra in India

During the interview, Deepak Chopra made two statements that evoked much reflection and discussion: The first was “what people think of me is none of my business” and “other people sees your image but you see yourself, know the difference”

This is powerful advice for everyone to reflect on. What other people think about you is at times fueled by their own issues and misinformation.

Dwelling on what people say can cause you to lose sight of the people and the things that truly matter in your life. It also causes you to shift your energy to what is said by defending yourself and your words.

All of this time can be poured into your work and your goals. Concentrate on the things that really matter to you and entertain the conversations that will yield success for you.  Read More Here

Deepak Chopra is in the consciousnes business. So is Sir Roger Penrose and Dr. Hameroff, who recently appeared on Science Channel with their five cents on consciousness. I have been a fan of Sir Roger Penrose for many years. He was the first scientist to say that consciousness should be found in the quantum field rather than in the brain. I am so much a fan, that I made my own theory out of the idea that consciousness might be explained through a better understanding of antimatter and parallel universes. My idea is that antimatter is the mirror of this universe, and that antimatter might be where memory is located. I think that the subconscious mind and consciousness are located in parallel universes in the form of antimatter. That makes the spirit and maybe even God all physical, so basically I could be said to be an atheist, even though I consider myself spiritual. If you would like to know more, then you can watch a full videopresentation of my theory on my blog: www.crestroy.com or watch it directly on YouTube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-TH46Ql5O0&list=UUyU-5SbR6XybvMPdSGSkgEw&index=1&feature=plcp
