Super Soul Sunday is one of my favorite shows on television right now.

I tune in every Sunday on the OWN Channel to see who will be showcasing their inspiration and what the advice will be.

This week, I was able to take in a conversation that Oprah had with Deepak Chopra in India

During the interview, Deepak Chopra made two statements that evoked much reflection and discussion: The first was “what people think of me is none of my business” and “other people sees your image but you see yourself, know the difference”

This is powerful advice for everyone to reflect on. What other people think about you is at times fueled by their own issues and misinformation.

Dwelling on what people say can cause you to lose sight of the people and the things that truly matter in your life. It also causes you to shift your energy to what is said by defending yourself and your words.
