Been inside Dough lately?
Well, since the spring, I’ve notice that they have been regularly rotating experimental flavors for their doughnuts, which they name “Dough of the Day.”
Today, the featured doughnut was a caramel corn doughnut, which dons a crown of caramel popcorn.
“Yeah, it’s just like a trial error thing,” said Tim, one of the store’s workers. “Like for example, this Tropical Chili doughnut is still also ‘Dough of the Day.’ It’s been so popular that we’re going to have it around for a while.
“It’s a passion fruit, mango, orange juice and cayenne pepper glaze. It’s got a little heat. And then we’ve got a little candied chili pepper on the top.”
“The caramel corn is a popcorn infused glaze with caramelized popcorn on top.”
The doughnuts are $3.25 each. Dough is located at 448 Lafayette Avenue at the corner of Franklin Avenue
