A Letter to Residents from HBO's 'Boardwalk Empire'
The cable series filming in Central Brooklyn wants to alert residents to a simulated explosion
Dear Residents and Merchants:
Bootleg Productions, Inc, in association with HBO, is currently in production on the television show, “Boardwalk Empire.”
In conjunction with our shoot, Boardwalk Empire is going to simulate a one-time explosion that will occur between the hours of 10pm-11pm, on Thursday, August 16 [in Greenpoint, Brooklyn]. Depending on your proximity to our film location, you may hear this effect.
Please be assured we are working closely with the Mayor’s Office and the New York City Fire Department. FDNY crews will be on site to monitor this work.
